Alison Grayson is death dwelling conduit of creation and transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her work pulls energy from multiple realms, with many pieces combining\u00a0the painting of an entity\u00a0with the power of carved skulls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a clairsentient, Alison believes her responsibility\u00a0is to listen and honor, not to dictate.\u00a0 Each design is unplanned and unique to the creation’s’s\u00a0voice, with the elements being carved or painted\u00a0 as they reveal themselves.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She strongly believes that all life is of the same cosmic energy, and that the trauma encapsulated in the animal’s bodies can block their energy from fully transforming outwards after death. She also believes that this trauma can be compounded, being carried along from one iteration of consciousness into to subsequent rebirths. By nurturing the animal in its death and releasing this trapped energy, Alison is working to heal a cycle of trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When not traveling with her art, Alison splits her time between Portland, OR and Denver CO with her canine companion Ballast. In addition to skull carving, she is a location sound recordist,<\/a> a tiny house\/skoolie<\/a> advocate, a documentary film maker<\/a>, a fighter, a dancer, a lover of life, and a newfound appreciator of death.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
